Drum Making Workshop
Darlene Doughty is offering a 14” drum making work shop. She has deer, water buffalo and cow available for hide choices ( subject to change as she gets different stock in)
Myself and the amazing women of Tethered have desired to make our own drum to use in ceremony and sound healing. We are so excited to offer this for our community. An amazing way to connect with our instrument in a ceremonial way.

What to expect:
You will be choosing your own drum hoop and hide.
We will do a ceremony to connect with and Give Thanks to the animal and its spirit. Ex:Deer reminds us to be kinder and gentler on ourselves and more loving.
Darlene will then instruct you on how to connect with your drum round and how to punch the holes in the hide followed by the stretching and lacing process. We will also be making our own beater.
Wear comfortable clothes
Bring drinks/ lunch and snacks.
This class will take approximately 5-7 hours.  Planned time is 11:00 am -5:00 pm but may end earlier or go later so plan to be here for the day.

Investment for the class:
$375. Includes the 14”hoop, hide, lacing and beater supplies. A non refundable $175.00 deposit is required to hold your space for this class (this is to hold the hide for you)
Hide choice and balance are due 7 days prior to class.

This class is limited to a maximum of 10 participants so grab your spot now!  (min of 5 required to run the class)

"It is important to totally commit to this class and your sacred drum. Please no drug or alcohol use before or during class.
I really appreciate everyone being present through this process. Thank you" - Darlene
